Magic Swap should let me burn the images as they are (as far as I know) and since I'd only be using it for a handful of expensive games, I shouldn't be using it that often. The portability of Free MCBoot is nice, but the patching and all of that seems like it will be so much trouble I would just as soon buy the game, not to mention it's possible that many games I would want to play wouldn't work. I tried two different flash drives, but that could still be the culprit, but I have no idea what brand/type is ideal for this crap.

I'm using the method to install it with Magic Swap, but every time I boot it with the flash drive plugged in, it just hangs at the boot screen. *sigh* after several attempts, I haven't been able to install Free MCBoot on my PS2 memory card.
